According to an entry in the Standard Atlas of Oakland County, 1908, Rueben J. Beattie was a farmerwho was born in 1866 in Oakland County.
Reuben bought the building on the southeast corner of S. Main & E. Church St., built 1919/1920, for the Seeterlin Brothers Chevrolet Sales & Service business. This was originally the site of Frank Yeager/Yager's Blacksmith shop, circa 1900. See photo.
